Friends of Hundred Hills Harvest Walk-Around
Saturday 26rd September, 4-6pm
Join us at Hundred Hills on Saturday 26th September to experience harvest as it happens. As one of the few vineyards in England with our winery on site, it’s a rare opportunity to see harvest unfold, from grapes arriving at the press to tasting the fresh musts as they flow. It’s an immersive, memorable experience, and a real treat for any wine lover.
The afternoon will start with a walk through the vineyard as our experienced team hand-picks the ripest bunches of the season. From there, we’ll step into the winery to watch the grapes loaded into the presses and taste the fresh juices destined to become our 2026 vintage. We’ll finish in the tasting room, sampling past vintages grown from these very same parcels, including library wines from the very first vintages.
This event is available exclusively to Friends of Hundred Hills and their guests.

Rosé de Blancs 2020
The 2020 vintage was the hottest and driest yet at Hundred Hills. A beautiful spring brought strong bud-burst in mid-April, and despite some mid-May frost scares, the vines progressed into a strong mid-June flowering.
Very little summer rain led to unusually small berries in both Chardonnays and Pinot Noir, and by early September the grapes were ripening well. A cool autumn slowed things down, allowing the small berries to develop unusual intensity and complexity. Harvest began on 5th October and, with excellent, homogeneous ripeness across all vineyard parcels was far simpler than usual.
Rooted in the Blanc de Blancs tradition, this rosé is built on a foundation of Chardonnay base wines, with a small and deliberate addition of Pinot Noir lending a blush of colour and red fruit character. The result is a Rosé de Blancs that retains the precision, tension, and structure expected from a Blanc de Blancs, while offering just enough fruit complexity to set it apart.

Dreaming Spires Rosé 2019
The 2019 vintage began early, with shoots well developed by the start of May. The summer saw some of the highest temperatures to date in the vineyards, then a long, cool and dry autumn allowed the grapes to fully ripen late into October. This wine was created entirely from north and north-east facing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The base wines were created with a malolactic fermentation to find balance and texture, fermented and aged in a combination of traditional oak casks for Chardonnay and stainless steel for Pinot Noir, each undergoing battonage. The wine was bottled and spent 24 months aging on lees before disgorgement.

Preamble No.2 2021 Gift Bottle
Despite some cold spring nights, we started a late season with all the buds intact and warm weather quickly allowed the vines to catch up. Then a cool summer turned into a warm autumn and small, intense grapes ripened beautifully across all our ten parcels of chardonnay and pinot noir. The aromas and flavours were intense in the grape musts, with an excellent balance of sugars and acids promising some fine, long aging wines ahead for the 2021 vintage.
We selected the base wines from our Winery Bank pinot noir and chardonnay parcels for this wine, both showing the most open and generous fruit profile. The wines underwent alcoholic fermentation and a full malolactic fermentation in a combination of stainless steel tanks, oak casks and barrels. The wine was bottled and spent 36 months aging on lees at the winery before being disgorged.

Blanc de Blancs “Library Release” 2018
From high up in the stunning Stonor Valley, this single parcel wine showcases the exceptional Chardonnay grown in our Hill Top vineyard from the outstanding 2018 vintage, undoubtedly a reference year for Hundred Hills. The stars aligned to deliver an early budburst with peak flowering on 20th June, and an excellent ripening season combined to yield a perfect harvest on September 30th.
With malic acids declining rapidly in the last days of ripening, the grape musts were sweet and intense. The base wines were fermented and aged in traditional oak cask for 6 months and were created without a malolactic fermentation to preserve their acidity. Once bottled the wine was kept for 72 months on lees before being disgorged. This artisanal wine continues to age beautifully and reveals the enormous potential of our exceptional English chalk valley terroir, as it evolves to fully express the memorable 2018 vintage.
